New committee members

New committee members require Scout Association clearance to been confirmed before they start serving on the committee (POR Rule 2.4 k).

Applications for clearance are made by submitting an Application Form and completing a satisfactory DBS.


The training scheme is designed to help you in your role and it can be done online at:

Trustee Training  and training validation

GDPR training   and GDPR validation

Individual committee members are responsible for ensuring that they complete training as soon as possible, at the latest within five months. Once training has been completed, your understanding needs to be checked by a Training Adviser using the validation criteria above.
