Roles you can do at home 

Youth Membership Secretary –  Providing a central point for new enquiries, maintain an up to date list of capacities in different Groups, and help ensure children on the waiting list are offered opportunities to join.  

Administrator –  Supporting our 18 to 24  age group in their effective communications and paperwork as they organise their own adventurous activities relating to top awards, for example the Queen’s Scout Award.

Scouts Offshore Liason Officer – Could you book cruises, advertise, take bookings, info to crew, info to Adventures Offshore, Q&A’s, work with others to seek grants & funding?  More at Details

Roles attending meetings with like minded adults

Group Scout Leader (GSL) do you have good management skills?  This role is supporting Leaders and ensuring the operation and development of Scouting   Click here for a role description    

Assistant District Commissioner for Development – do you have good project management skills to help us expand our provision so that more children can benefit from Scouting?

Training Advisers – Do you have the skills to understand our adult training scheme at at CLICK HERE and advise and support volunteers accordingly?  

Honorary President – Could you represent Scouts in an official capacity, promoting the wellbeing of Scouting in the wider community and assisting to develop relationships with outside organisations? 

Roles visiting different groups of Scouts when they are doing activities

District Chaplain – Would you enjoy supporting leaders and young members in their spiritual development?

Teaching roles

Young Leaders’ Supporter – Could you look after our under 18s who volunteer at different Groups by delivering essential training and organising opportunities for them to meet up now and again?

Trainers – Do you have the skills to teach our new volunteers in a classroom setting?    Examples of lesson plans can be found at CLICK HERE    Free training provided, no prior experience required. 

1st Aid Trainers – We have an urgent requirement for trainers who can teach 1st Aid to Leaders.   

Roles with weekly children’s activities 

Leaders – Do you believe in our Scout values and enjoy working with youngsters?   We presently have vacancies in Westerfield, Rendlesham and Leiston.  

Skills Instructors – if you have a skill, such as archery or sailing, you might enjoy passing it on to the next generation .  Click here for the role description
