Link Camp is a go! Thank you to everyone who drummed up additional support for this camp. We now have ~40 young people signed up, so we are going ahead. This is the leader information; there will be separate attendee communications next weekend.

Location: Hallowtree, Alnesbourne Priory, Nacton, Ipswich IP10 0JP

Arrival: Friday, September 27th 7 PM – Sign in at the Raven Hut

Departure: Sunday, September 29th 1 PM

Please ensure all Cubs, Scouts, YLs, and Adults sign up on OSM. The cut-off date for signing up is Friday, September 13th. If there are any issues, then please let me know.

Catering

  • Catering will be centrally organised.
  • For any Allergies or dietary requirements, please send them to Celia Comber no later than the 23 September at [email protected]

Groups to Provide:

  • Accommodation: tents, shelters, spare sleeping bags, roll mats etc
  • NAN Form
  • Health Forms (two printed copies)
  • Leaders to support Cubs and Scouts
  • Shooting Permission Forms

Health Forms & Medical

  • Group to bring their first aid kits (whether possible)
  • Central First Aid kit and medical to be supplied by Otley
  • Sarah Knight to run central first aid.
  • Group to supply two printed health forms (1 for group and 1 for central)
  • Any Allergies, dietary or disabilities are to be sent in by group before the camp starts.
  • Medication to be held and administered by groups

NANs

  • Groups are to be responsible for sending in their own NAN forms.
  • If groups don’t have a Permit Holder attending camp, then contact Chas, and he will find any group to allocated them to. [email protected] 

Risk Assessments:

  • The Camp Risk Assessment is attached. You should include this with your NAN form and add any specific risks for your group at the bottom.
  • Activity Risk Assessments will be available at the event.

Funding

  • Groups to collect money via their usual methods (Cash, Cheque, BACs, OSM, etc)
  • District Treasurer will bill groups for the number of people who attended the camp after the event.
