Kit List

The kit list for the camp is available here so that you know what to bring.

The kit list includes a request for “cake” to share. We will have 4/5 “cake breaks” during the camp. We do like to try family specialities so homemade cakes are much appreciated. We would ask please that you just send one cake per family or enough for 4/5 portions and if you have special dietary needs then please provide suitable alternatives that are marked with their name and we will keep these separately.

We understand that you may wish to send your child with some “snacks” to be shared with friends or for a midnight feast. Please however consider the site is a field and will have plenty of native wildlife including ants and squirrels. There is nothing worse than a child finding that kit has been invaded by ants/wasps or that a squirrel has been rummaging through their things. Your child will be fed during the weekend and there will be alternatives for fussy eaters and there will be cake!

Health Forms and Consent to Activities

To ensure that we have all the information that we need for your child to take part in all the activities and so that we are aware of all needs then we are asking you all to complete a health form on this link – ONLINE HEALTH FORM

You will need to complete a separate form for each person attending including adults and please ensure that any emergency contact is not a person on site.

Payments

Final payment for the camp is now due and will be requested by your Group/Unit shortly if you have not been asked already. The total fee for camp is (many will already have paid £10 deposit ):

  • Day Visitor – £15
  • Beaver – £40
  • Cub & Scout – £50
  • Leader/Adult helper/Explorer – £15

Camping Arrangements

All Groups/Units will camp together so Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will be sleeping in close proximity. The provision of tents will vary from Group to Group so your leaders will give instructions about this.

Arrival/Departure for Camping Participants (if staying overnight)

Each group attending has been allocated a time slot to arrive, please find this below. This is to ensure smooth traffic flow on and around the venue. If you are unable to stick to the time slot given for reasons beyond your control, please contact your child’s section leader to advise them when you will be arriving.

There will be sign posts located out on nearby roads to help with directions, please lookout for these. On arrival, please follow instructions given by the car parking signs. Due to the volume of traffic due, parents/carers are unable to park and stay. Leaders will be available to meet young people on arrival.
